What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? hello, i reside here in jacksonville,fl, 32277, i brought a 2004 sequoia from a well known toyota dealer here in town, about a year ago. I recently learned this vehicle was in 3 previous accidents before I purchased it. I requested a carfax report several times, but they kept putting me off. should they have informed me of the cars history to some degree? I feel they sold me this car under false pretenses, thanks for any advice...shannen

Just like the commercial, huh?

Anyway, why did you still buy the vehicle if the dealer wasn't honoring your request for a history? Why didn't you order your own report?

You have no case.

You can file a report with the BBB that will warn other people against doing business with that dealer, and that's about it. The BBB can't force the dealer (or any other business) to do anything about the situation (or any other situation) since they have no legal power whatsoever.
