Our Son purchased a 74 Camaro with a 350 suped up engine. The man bought the car from a police auction, he did not transfer the title, not current inspection, no sales contract, son did not sign an "as is no warranty buyer guide, and he put a red tag in the window for 21 days for son to get it inspected. All he mentioned that was wrong with the car was no windshield wipers. We called the police auction and they said he was a dealer "The Little Car Co.", so the policeman changed the auction form to that name and shredded the one with Jim Cook's name on it. These are the things wrong with the car that we know of now: no windshield wipers or arms, horn doesn't work, needs speedometer cable, emergency brake doesn't work, headlights & reverse lights don't work, needs new front tires, needs a new wiring harness, and the thing in the back for the shocks is cracked, as well. The car is NOT inspectionable, as Jim Cook said that it was. He even said he would allow his son to drive the car from Calif to Florida because of the great shape it was in. We are living in TEXAS. Thanks.

My question is: Would we possibly win in a small claims court to get our son's $3150 back that he paid for the car?
Do we have a legal right to get our son's money back?
