| Inaugural Conference Failures What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York
Hi. My son was an unfortunate attendee at the Inaugural tour in January that's been in the media lately. The company failed to provide many of the services that they promised in their advertisements. There are about 1000 families affected who paid $2500 each. The company has offered refunds up to a max of $1030. Based on their itemized list, I'd receive only $500. To some people, $2500 is not a lot of money but I don't fit into that category. The company has refused to negotiate with individuals and I'm not in a position to have an expensive legal battle. What other options are there? Would we qualify as a Class Action? If so, would the company be responsible for the legal costs? Any advice you can give will be helpful. We live in New York and the tour company is based in Virginia. |
