I signed a 12 month lease last july with an apartment complex. I need to break the lease but the penalty is $1000. I re-read the lease and the landlord mistakenly put down the incorrect dates: 7/1/02 to 6/31/02. Seeing as how these dates don't make any sense, does this invalidate the lease? Can I get out of paying the $1000?
