I signed a contract with a landscaper to remove old shrubbery, tear up the old grass, level my front yard and lay sod. He did all these things and we paid him last night. The sod looked a little dry to us but it was "nothing a good watering wouldn't fix" according to the landscaper. Today, after dousing the lawn for 2 days, large patches have turned brown and the bushes are wilted. I have a guarantee on the bushes but not on the sod. Should I stop payment on the check?
