Lease Contract Question.

I want to get out of a current rental lease I have. When I moved in they forced me to have a co-signer because I was younger than 21 years of age. This was Over two months ago, and my co-signer never signed the contract even though her name is all over it. Wouldn't it completely make the contract non-binding if she just informed them she never has any intention of signing it?


Also when they gave me the contract to sign they had the lease term wrong, 6 months instead of 12. They just whited it out and fixed it. Without my initialing it. Wouldn't that too void the contract?
