Hi there,

I'm a grad student in Lombard, Illinois who will be graduating at the end of April, but would prefer not to attend the ceremony. The student handbook states that, graduation ceremony attendance is required. How legally binding is this? Can they really decline to give me my very expensive piece of paper?

Thanks for your responses in advance!
