Within the last week, I lost a cashiers check in the mail for $40,000. Both the sender and recipient agree the check has been lost but my bank refuses to stop the payment even with a bond...do I have any recourse to get the bank to stop the check to avoid losing the money due to unauthorized cashing of the check?
