What is the name of your state? Indiana
I have recieved a check from an old roomate for payment of utilities they owed me but they also owed me for damages to some of my property. In the memo line of the check for utilities the wrote, "endorsement and cashing of this check is full acknowlegement of payment in full for any and all monies owed."
My question is this: If I cash this check will I lose any recourse for recovering the money for the damages? Does the memo line of acheck constitute a binding contract?
