i leased a car in maryland and turned it back in to lease another. the dealer took care of the "payoff" of the old lease and we went away with the new lease. the leasing company is saying we still owe $1400, and we are saying the dealer figured the "payoff". the dealer is saying they calculated the figure, but never verified it with the leasing company. are we on the hook for the $1400?
