What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
I am a senior-level business professional in Canada with serious expertise in and working experience with many aspects of US and Canadian law, and I can tell you with complete confidence and total accuracy that US and Canadian laws are not at all the same. Not even close in many areas, and in complete opposition in some other areas. You should not be seeking legal advice and information here because much of it will be wrong. (As an example, some of the information you were provided in your "Ridiculous Situation" thread is bogus as far as Canada goes. So while you thanked people for it, it's not going to help you much with your issue.)
