state: il. deptartment store turned me into a collection agency for an unjustified charge. contacted the collection agency, got it cleared up. agency said they would send letter stating this. never received letter. account got sold to a different agency. received another notice from this agency that charge is in collections. contacted this agency that the past one should have this cleared. been more than 30 days since myself or the new agency has contacted the past one. is there a time amount that the past agency has to respond? in the interm, getting the run around by the new agency. no one can answer any questions. help
