our landlord installed natural gas and removed oil as a heat source. we have been billed every month for six months and always payed on time. received notification from the gas company telling us there was a mix up in meters and after six months we owe the company $1000.00 !!
we budgeted around what each bill as it was assigned to us all winter long - not what the "mixed up" meter later confirms!
is there any accountability on the side of the gas company for their mistake? the money is due immediately and it will not be possible to pay! is there any option or do we legally have to pay for their foul up??? please help!
thanks for your time,
mike
