What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

My fiancee and I recently bought a dog from a training company. The company claimed he was housebroken, off-leash trained, and trained on commands. They also train police service dogs and told us the only reason they were selling him is because he didn't have the drive to complete protection training. We paid $800 for him and an additional $450 to complete more training, and have since had nothing but problems. He is not housebroken nor off-leash trained, and we can barely get him to listen to a sit command. We have reached out to the company and they simply said it must be our fault, and stopped returning our calls or emails. Is there anything we can do to get our money back?

Did you observe the dog before you bought it? If so....In what circumstances? How old is the dog? What experience have you and your fiancé had with dogs? What breed of dog is it?
