I cosigned on a car with a friend of mine a few months ago because he had no credit history and I had good credit. It is in my name first since I am the one with a credit history. Recently, our friendship was broken and he is moving out of the state. I no longer want my name on the car. I think it is too early to refinance it in his name only. Is there any other way to get my name off? Or can I take the car?
