What is the name of your state? Alabama.

One day I went to get my oil changed. After they were finished I started my car and put the car in drive. Before I could drive off, I heard this loud noise (the sound of an emergency brake). Sure enough, I looked down and saw that my emergency brake had been left on. I turned it off. I was on my way to pick my mother up from work and realized that every time I stopped I heard the noise. The emergency brake was not on nor was the light for emergency brake. After picking up my mom from work we took the car back to where we got the oil change. The manager thought that somehow maybe the emergency brake froze. He wrote a note that said that if I brake specialist said that the noise was due to them leaving on the emergency brake that they would pay for it to be fixed. My brakes and rotters had to be replaced because there was some kind of glaze on the brakes due to the emergency brake left on.

After we took the receipt to the manager, the manager said he'd have to go through the insurance company. The insurance company called and said that I was responsible for the damage because I was riding with the emergency brake on--and they would not pay for it. What can I do? Help!!! I did not even drive out of the parking space before I turned off the emergency brake...plus, what about the note the manager wrote? It is possible that the emergency brake got stuck when it was put on, but that is not my fault!
