Can any one give a group of students from Massachusetts. some advice. We all have student loans obtained through the schools finance dept. We were all made aware that we would need to pay a 3% origination fee, but we told it was basically a downpayment twords our loans, and would be subtracted from our total loan ammount. We all just recieved our paperwork from the loan companies and realized the "origination fee "was not subtracted. We discussed with the finance dept here and we were basically just blown off and now explained what an origination fee is. A complete contradiction from our original explanation 7 months ago. The director did indicate this issue has been brought to his attention in the past. What type of action should we take against the school, or what responsibility does the school have?
Thank you the help is appreciated.
