What is the name of your state? NY
I am looking for a specific statute. Someone told me once that it is illegal for a seller to charge a different price to different consumers for the EXACT same item. Is this true? I have bad credit and when I went to get a car loan the vehicle price was listed as $7995 but they quoted me the price of $8995. I understand that my credit will be cause for a high interest rate but is it legal to bump the price of the vehicle $1000? I would like to fire off a letter to the NYS attorney general and BBB but would like my facts straight before I do. Thanks
