Hi. I bought a used car recently, and paid the down payment with a combination of cash and credit. The dealer is now saying he never got the cash, and they're threatening to go to collections.
The receipt for the car says the full amount is paid, but I can't find the receipt for the cash. Am I screwed?
In other words: Is the receipt for the car enough to keep these guys from pulling something, or do I need a receipt for the individual payments too?
