Approximately 15 years ago, we bought a campsite membership at Treasure Lake Resort, DuBois, PA, which we used for five years. We are now retired and living in Florida and no longer have any use for this membership, due to life style changes. However, we still have to pay membership dues, this year it is up to $287.80. We contacted Treasure Lake Asso. and was told we had to pay. We tried selling this site but was scammed, (by Century 21, even) We tried to GIVE it back, but Treasure Lake Refused. Is there any legal way to get out from under this dept, we are hardly able to make ends meet without this added debt and are afraid of a lawsuit and credit damage. Thank you
