Hello. My name is Kurt Edwards. I am having a serious problem with my landlord and I am hoping that you could help me with some concerns that I have. Currently, I am in the middle of seeking aid from the city to pay my rent arrears and I have been giving the landlord all of the paper work showing that I have been making progress, but, now he is saying that I better have a statement saying I will be receiving the aid or he will evict me. The last time I checked, I do not run the government and neither does he. What does the law state on this fact? I had sent a payment for this month, not the past rent due and he refused it. What does the law state on that also??
