Recently rented a trailer camper for a week from an individual owner. This individual rents a couple of trailers as a side business.

While en route to return the trailer, the T.V. (attached by velcro strap) fell 4.5 feet to the floor. The floor was damaged, a large crease (but no crack or cut) with a black mark. Not sure about the T.V. no power to test. The owner was not available when I delivered.

The T.V. could have fell when backing into his driveway, not sure about this.

We were told while the trailer was at the Campground his insurance would cover any damages. While en route we pay. His driveway was not discussed.

He has deposit, I signed contract regarding trailer being clean and no damages.

Is this a black and white case of we pay for damages? Or other factors involved?
