repossessing a car

i am a used car dealer in tennessee having sold cars on a note
my question is. is it legal to reposses a car on high school grounds?

My response:

The only prohibition to repossessing a vehicle, of which I am aware, is breaking and entering to get the vehicle; e.g., snapping the lock of, and opening, a garage door. As far as I know, anywhere else is "fair".

However, so that police are not called to arrest you for trespass, it might be a good idea to first go to the administration building to ask and inform the principal of your intentions and the purpose of you being on school grounds.
