I put a guitar on consignment at a guitar shop. It has been 7 months and now I can not get a hold of the owner (or any one at the shop). More disturbing, the phone and fax for the guitar shop have now been disconnected. I have sent letters and even put a note on the door of the shop, but still no one has contacted me. Question: legally what can I do to get my guitar back and be done with this shop? Can I contact the police and file a complaint?
I would try camping out at the shop to see if any one shows up but it is an hour from my home and I work / have a life. Any advice as to what I can do would be greatly appreciated.
