Less than a year ago we hired a company to seal our roof, which came with a 5 year guarantee. 9 months later it began to leak and we found that the company had gone out of business already. A financing company had bought the contract but refused to honor the contract guarantee when we contacted them by phone. We had a year before we were required to pay the balance, which is coming up soon. Are we obligated to pay when no one is going to honor this guarantee to fix the roof? Please advise. Thanks
