What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

I financed a car through a local used car dealership. Right before paying the last payment, I was looking into selling the car.

The person who was going to buy it found out it was a salvage title. I looked through my paperwork, and the paperwork I have shows it is not a salvage title. I went to the dmv. The paperwork they have for the car is completely different than what I have. That paperwork states it is a salvage title. The signatures are not mine. Someone forged my name on at least two papers.

I've had the car two years. Is there anything I can do?

Thank you for any advice.

Here is a link to North Carolina's law on salvaged vehicles:

And here is a link to North Carolina's Department of Justice, on what you can do if you purchased a salvaged vehicle from a dealership and the dealership did not disclose to you in a written document that the vehicle was a salvage:

Good luck.
