Arizona. I have a 1996 truck that I would like to sell. It has a salvage title. It was repaired a couple of owners ago. Aside from the airbag and horn missing, it is in perfect condition to the best of my knowledge.
I was told by a local dealership that if I sell this truck, and the new owner gets into an accident, all previous owners back to the owner when it was wrecked could be sued.
Am I truly liable for accidents by future owners? If so, is there some sort of agreement that could be drawn up stating that the new owner understands that it is a salvage title and is buying the truck "as is", removing any future responsibility from me??
Thanks!!
