I am being sued for a breach of contract. I didn't fulfill my payments to a "modeling contract" I signed into because after signing the contract and paying over half of the "portfolio" costs, I discovered that the owner of the Studio was a fraud, and he didn't really pay his models. Furthermore, I participated in a panel discussion for a news broadcast and there discovered exactly how this Company was pulling their scams. I was lied to when I questioned the company about rumors I had heard about "fishy" practices they were into (ie: porn), and was reassured that they were just rumors. I later found out they were true and that is the only way to get paid by the company. They are suing me in SCC and I have filed an answer, but I would like to counterclaim and get my initial money back because they misrepreseted themselves to get me to sign the contract. How do I counter-sue/claim, and are there any steps I should take to defend myself in court so I'm not obligated to pay the outrageous sum they claim I owe them now?
Thank you!
