| Shipping Company's Insurance paid/Seller kept it I purchased an item online. Seller (out of state) shipped with DHL insured. It arrived (CA) damaged. Seller said it was fine when it was sent and they don't give refunds. DHL will only accept a claim from the shipper, not the recipient. I asked seller if they would file a claim on my behalf so I could recover at least part of the money. They agreed and did so. DHL settled and reimbursed seller ($150) which seller was then to reimburse me. Well, the seller kept the money!! They stated that they are under no obligation to give me any of it. DHL has said that their contractual agreement is with the shipper and there is nothing they can do. So now what? Do I have any recourse?What is the name of your state? |
