Every time I purchase something at any grocery store near my
home, I am asked to show them a "preferred shopper" card in
order to recieve "sale" prices on items in the store.
I have not and will not ever sign up for their discount card. It is my
belief that giving up my name, address and phone number in
return for their "free" card is an invasion of my Fourth Amendment
right .
Now, because of my refusal to participate in this scheme, I am
charged the higher price of their two-tiered pricing system.
I feel this is discrimination and in violation of U.S. Code Title 15,
Sections 13a and 13e.
My question is is their any recourse or action that I can take
to insure that this practice is brought to an end?

It is legal. You can do what I did. I used a phony name and address. I get the sale prices and they have a happy customer.
