What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

I am being taken to small claims court for payment on an rv rental agreement in which I did not sign the agreement. The person I was with signed the agreement with his name, paid for over half of the total bill and stated to the company in writing that he would make the final payment. The company is saying he signed for me even though he used his name and that they have my signature on file from previous rentals and therefore I am responsible for the balance. Can I tell the court that I never signed anything and that I am not responsible?

Thank you.
