state pa. i signed an agreement for classes. my check was posted dated i cancelled my check and never attended a class. the info they gave me i returned now i have a collection agency trying to obtain the money for the classes. what can i do???

My response:

It doesn't matter that you cancelled your check.

Assuming you have no viable defenses for your action in cancelling the check, and assuming the contract to be a proper and valid contract, the fact remains that you signed a contract and you owe them the money - - EVEN IF you never attended one day of class.

Your option, therefore, is to pay the debt before matters get even worse for you - - both from a litigation standpoint, and from a monetary standpoint.
