I work for a power tool manufacturer (OEM) who sells to retailers, who sell to consumers. The products have a one year warranty on them and they are warranted by us. I've heard that manufacturers are required to keep spare parts on hand for consumers for 7 years from the date of manufacture, but I've also heard that it's 7 years from the date of discontinue. Is there such a law or policy? If so, could you please point me to it? If not, please let me know that too. Thank you in advance for your help.
