A friend of mine cosigned on a student loan for a family member and he has not repaid the loan. As the cosigner my friend has been contacted for repayment of the loan amount. She had no choice but to repay the loan after it began to negatively impact her credit. Can she sue her family member for the amount she had to pay? They are both in Pennsylvania and it has been four years. Has it been too long? Has the statue for limitation ran out on this type of loan situation?
Thanks for your advice.
