I defaulted on a home equity loan, last payment and last activity 12/1998. Since that time no contact from the bank was received and it shows as a bad debt write off on all 3 CRs. It is listed as a secured loan and there is a lien on the title. Does the statute SOL limit for debt collection apply? It is in Florida and there is no judgement filed anywhere. Can the lien on the title be removed?
