My wife and I were in the process of moving back to Pennsylvania and were staying in a hotel until we found a house. We had just opened a new bank account and our new checks were in the hotel. They were in the hotel from Monday to Thursday and no where else. Saturday I realized 4 checks had been taken from the middle of my first book. No one other than housekeeping had access to my check books. I have put a stop check on all 4 checks, howevere 2 had already cleared. Is there anything I can do to try to get my money back, $600 as well as the $80 for each stop payment. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
