Stolen Leased Vehicle

I live in the state of New York. My vehicle was stolen and found in the state of Mass. I was informed that it was totaled, then I was told a few days later, that it was not totaled. Do I have to take that car back? Do I have to lease another vehicle from the dealer. I have no idea of what shape the vehicle is in. I would like to know my rights in this matter.
