What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama. I paid for a dining room set four days ago. The furniture is still at the store at this time. When I got home I realized that the furniture is too big for my dining area. When I decided to get a refund I noticed "No refunds or exchanges" on the receipt. The store refuses to refund my money and there is no way the furniture will fit. Do I have any recourse? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Yes, find a way to sell your new furniture. Or, ask if you can exchange for furniture that actually costs a bit less, so the store gets something out of the exchange.

You have no legal footing here, so make nice.
