What is the name of your state? Georgia. I recently switched carries because I thought my contract was up with T-Mobile. I received a bill today for $200.00 for a early termination fee. I was off by about 3 weeks. Is this legal? Can I pay the month of service thay say I had left on my contract. They wanted me to reopen my account when I tried talking to customer Service.

Yes that's legal. It doesn't matter if you were off by a day.....if the contact states that your agreement ends on 7/26/05 and you cancelled on 7/1/05.....you didn't meet your end of the deal.

Next time it's best to keep your contract in a safe place so that you can verify for yourself when the contract ends.
