If a contract that is grandfathered from new laws is set to expire, can that existing contract be extended for an additional 10 years to get around the new laws or is this considered a new contract for which the new laws would apply. Thanks

Sorry, but all of our first rate psychics are attending an ET séance in Roswell. So perhaps you could inform we non-celestials as to what "contract"? What "grandfather's rights"? What "new laws"?!

Ok let me try again...

The Contract was for Red light cameras in a City, The rule that changed was, a ticket from a red light camera could no longer be reported to a Credit agency and one's credit could not be affected.
Contracts prior to the new rule would not be affected, only new contracts after would have to adhere to the new rule.
Dummy Terms... Is an extended contract with changes considered to be a new contract.

A contract extended contract is a renewed contract. Therefore, credit agencies are forbidden. That said, the remedy in addition to the late fee, is to suspend the ability o hte owner to renew vehicle registration. Here is a link to the States ruling.
