I have posted once before and need some help please. I live in Virginia.
I was awarded a prize in sweepstakes from a major wireless company. I went to collect and was told that I was sent the
award by mistake and could not recieve the prize. I was told to call the wireless company, I did, and was told that their contract printer had printed too many winner notices. I was then sent a $50 check and a choice of a gift. I have not cashed the check or taken the gift.
Do I have a claim to the original prize. I feel as though the company wants me to take the other and go away.
The original prize was a $1000 of merchandise from a store,
which was where I went to collect.
