I am past 60 days past due on account and need to move to WA with my vehicle. Finance co states if I cross AZ state line with vehicle they will report as stolen and have me charged with felony theft. My contract states it is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. AZ law states I have to be 90 days past due then finance co has to send me letter by certified mail giving me 30 days to surrender vehicle or bring loan current. Can I take the vehicle without criminal charges?
