I was doing a contract for a IT outsourcing firm. On the contract I signed it stated that I would be paid straight time for any hours worked over 40. My question is, is this legal?? I did some research and everything I came across basically stated that by law that if you work over 40 hrs you must be paid time/half.

The other funny thing about this is that the company that I was working for was paying the IT staffing company time/half for any time I worked over 40hrs.

Can anyone tell me what they think I can do about this??
