Florida..I am a fully licensed and insured professional tree surgeon. I took down a tree for a customer whose A/C unit was within 10 feet of the tree in question. The take down was flawless and at no time did we touch the old A/C unit. The customer now says his A/C isnt working and he is holding me resposible and wanting to deduct the repair cost out of my fee. My fee was $550.00. What are my options? Thanks in advance.

My response:

Your option is to sue your customer in Small Claims court.

Take the contract with you, and take photos of the area in question, and of the a/c unit.

Then, let your customer cross-complain against you and prove his side of the story.
