I purchased a 4-plex about a monnth ago. I was informed of a current lease that was in effect between a washer and dryer company signed by a previous owner. That lease said that this company would provide coin-opt equipment for 10 years on the premises. We were informed that we would have to uphold that lease until it was expired and we agreed to it. Now the company is saying that that previous owner also signed another 10 year lease that was to take effect immediately after the first one was over and the company tells us we must also uphold that lease. Is it lawful for this company to force us to uphold this future lease? thank you for any advice.
