My ex-boyfriend gave an old beater of a car to my mom and her husband several months ago .. he was going to donate the car to charity but they were in need at the time. Now, 4-5 months later, he still had not furnished them with the title to the car. They gave the car back to him. He now wants to put a UCC1 Lien on them for the repair of the windshield (it was cracked replacing the rear-view mirror). What is this lien? He says that he is filing it this week and is entitled to monetary damages for usage, repair, taxes, title, registration, interest, etc. Can he do this?? He is saying that he can take their money if he does not get restitiution.
