I made a verbal agreement with a Softball Owner(sponsor) to play the following year for him and help him build a team. We were the only two in the restaurant and there were no witnesses to the agreement: $5000.00 up front $200 per weekend and bonuses. He has paid $1000.00 of the up front and made good on the $200.00 per weekend and bonuses, but refuses to pay the remainder of the up front money $4000.00
What legal action can I take and what burden of proof do I need in court?
