we live in calif. and have a verbal agreement with a family member to live rent free in our house and provide bookkeeping and property management to our family member. she no longer wants us to provide these services and now wants to discuss new terms of our living situation. the original agreement was to provide these services and the house would be titled to us at no charge. we are the executors of the estate as well. what are my legal rights if she wants us to pay rent or throw us out when we were not the ones who wanted to change the agreement and she has told us not to do the work? the title of the house has not been signed over to us in the past 3 years either?
