    verbal cell phone contracts?

What is the name of your state? CT

I want to terminate my cell phone provider. I have been with them for about 7 years.

The cell phone provider states that because I may changes to my account in November 2004 I have to wait until November 2005 to terminate.

They stated that I have a verbal agreement. I remember talking to them in November but I do not remember agreeing to I owe them $150 if I cancel.

I never hear of a verbal contract. Can they hold be to this?

    Another typical trick.

Ask them upon what basis they are saying this?

Post back; I'd like to know what they say.

The Cell Phone Company now tells me that some calls are recorded, some are not.

Funny, after reviewing with the cell phone company that I have sought legal council they are now saying that it seems that there is no legal agreement in place??????

The cell phone provider still left me with the liability of Text messaging. The way that Text messaging works is that any person can text message me and I can end up paying for it on my bill. I told them to either turn the service off or I will need to find another provider.

They are telling me that they cannot turn the text messaging service off.

Does anybody know a cell phone company that allows the customer to control the charges to the account?

I don't know how many threads you have going, but the more you clear things up, the muddier the situation gets.

Sorry...I can't help you because I have no idea what you are talking about.
