i live in alabama. i sold an engine to a guy from out of state. it was sold as is with no warranty. he fully understood this before buying it. he got the engine 17 days ago. he says he just put it in and it was running fine. he drove it 10 miles and it blew up. now he says he will sue me if i dont send him his money back. i thought as is meant just that. am i wrong?

The practicality is that he may threaten to sue all he wants, but he probably won't since his suit would have to be brought in YOUR county. Further, if you have PROOF of the 'as is' deal, you shouldn't have much to be concerned about.
